Srimati Radharani's Appearance Day

A short summary Srila Prabhupada gave on this subject.

Our yajna is sankirtana, and Srimate Radharaniis the pleasure potency of Krsna.

rādhā kṛṣṇa-praṇaya-vikṛtir hlādinī śaktir asmād
ekātmānāv api bhuvi purā deha-bhedaḿ gatau tau
caitanyākhyaḿ prakaṭam adhunā tad-dvayaḿ caikyam āptaḿ
rādhā-bhāva-dyuti-suvalitaḿ naumi kṛṣṇa-svarūpam

When Krsna wants to enjoy, the pleasure potency is manifested from His personal body. That pleasure potency is Radharani. Radharani is Krsna’s personal pleasure potency. hlādinī śaktir

If you want to please Krsna... He is pleased through Radharani. Therefore we don’t worship Krsna alone.

In Vrindavana you will see all devotees, they will address one another, “Jaya Rädhe.” Anyone who comes before Radharani to serve Krsna; She becomes so pleased, “Oh, here is a devotee of Krsna.” She immediately recommends, “Krsna, oh, here is a devotee. He is better than Me.” Instead of offering directly one flower to Krsna, you just put it in the hands of Radharani: Our philosophy is to please Krsna through Radharani. We should offer puspanjali and pray to Radharani that “Radharani, kindly be merciful and tell about me to Your Krsna. Krsna is not independent. Krsna is Radharani’s property. So you have to approach Krsna through Radharani. That is, today is the auspicious day. Worship Radharani very nicely and be happy.

5.30 pm - bhajans by Vrishabanu Prabhu
6.00 pm - Class on the divine qualities of Srimati Radharani
6.45 pm - Pushpanjali and Aratik ceremony followed by opening of gifts
7.30 pm - Feast
