OUR BRISBANE ISKCON WEBSITE

What is it?

The Our Brisbane ISKCON Website (http://ourbrisbane.iskcon.org.au) is a central point for obtaining up-to-date information via the Internet about events and activities within the ISKCON Brisbane community. It is available to the public from anywhere 24 hours a day, and thus represents a very high profile opportunity for communication.

Here you can get information about up coming festivals and visitors, vaisnava calendar events, reports of activities undertaken and other news. You can also use the site to communicate about activities that you are organizing or involved in that you wish to publicize to the wider community. This can get more people involved, and enlivens others by informing them of what is going on.

Who is the audience?

The wider community of devotees as well as the general public.

It is envisioned that this will become a major point of contact for the public with ISKCON Brisbane, and a primary source of authoritative and up-to-date information on what is going on.

How do I use it?

You can check regularly to see what is happening.

You can contribute by writing reports of festivals or summaries of classes, and by announcing your classes, festivals or other activities, or by sending photos. Anyone can contribute.

How do I contribute an article / announcement?

Simply click on the Submit News button on the site. This should open up an email form if your computer is configured for it. Otherwise simply send an email manually to ourbrisbane@iskcon.org.au.

What is the editorial policy of Our Brisbane.ISKCON?

The website publishes news of recent and upcoming events within the Brisbane ISKCON community. Reviews of books and tapes will be published in the context of an announcement by someone within the community that they have them for sale.

The site is not designed for exposition of philosophy, opinion or commentary and is mainly concerned with presenting “What's happening?” information.

Who is in charge of the site?

The website is hosted by Tirtharaj Prabhu and is currently administered by Sitapati das.
