Appearance of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu
Friday 21st March, 2008
Gaura Purnima Festival.
Festivities start at 4:30am with the most auspicious arati. Greeting of the Deities is at 7:30am and a wonderful kirtan will lift everyone's hearts to the Lotus Feet of Lord Caitanya.
Class follows - then during the day there will be non-stop kirtan. You are invited to participate at any time and chant to your heart's content.
At 12 noon, another auspicious opportunity is there to glorify Lord Caitanya in a Maha Harinam. Please don't miss this event. We hope to enliven the people of Brisbane city with the Hare Krishna Mantra. Meet outside of Govinda's with your dancing shoes on.
The temple program starts again in the afternoon at 4pm and will include a fire yajna, bathing of Their Lordships, class by Urmila devi dasi, performances, arati, present opening, and of course a wonderful feast.
Please celebrate with us on this day, as it has been arranged for most of us to have a holiday from University, School, and Work. It is a great chance to fill our lives with Krishna's names and please Lord Caitanya and in return get His most merciful glance.
If you would like to participate in services for Their Lordships, Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, please contact Taraka devi dasi - taraka@iskcon.org.au or 0402 599 416
