He came to the West in 1965 at the age of 70, and spread Krishna consciousness around the world in thirteen years. Krishna consciousness is not a new religion. It is "the oldest of all, but in new dress." Passed down for thousands of years, from spiritual master to disciple, and in Sanskrit scriptures, the philosophy and practice of Krishna consciousness appears today in its original pure form for the people of this age.
